DESCRIPTION

This playful necklace is made up of multicolored (genuine) freshwater pearls, each approximately 1/4 inch in diameter. There is a 2-inch sterling extension chain on this necklace so the length is variable. The pearls are strung on silk cords, which is traditional for pearls. The cord has been hand-knotted between each bead. This keeps the pearls from rubbing against each other as well as preventing them from flying all over should the silk break. Please note that silk is an organic material that will break down over time. It is recommended to restring pearls once a year if they are worn frequently.
